Our Firm and Fees

JONAS & WELSCH PC is a litigation support services consulting firm. We provide economic and financial expert witness services to attorneys in the areas of economics, finance and accounting. We have been operating since 1991.

We have been retained in over 600 matters for both plaintiffs' and defendants' counsels and have over 35 years of experience as consultants and expert witnesses.

We combine financial, economic, accounting and forensic expertise with sophisticated analytical and econometric techniques. Our reports and testimony are based on the latest financial and economic data using the professionally accepted standards and methods.

We have offices in New Jersey and New York serving clients in all the surrounding states.

Our professional fees are based on the actual hours spent on an engagement. The hours spent depend upon:

• The type, complexity and urgency of engagement.
• The level of expertise required to conduct the fact-finding and analyses.
• The availability of required documents.
• The expected requirements for report preparation, deposition and trial testimony, if any.

We request a retainer for all engagements. The retainer amount is based on the type of engagement. We have no other fees or minimums for appearance or reasonable travel time. We are reimbursed for our out-of-pocket expenses such as research materials, long distance travel and subsistence, if any.

Terms of our retention, which define the client relationship, treatment of documents, confidentiality stipulations and use of our report, is available upon request.
